Our Celts 1996-1997 Retro Away Shirt Socks are based on one of Celtics nicest ever away shirts. The shirt by Umbro was sponsored by CR SMITH and had a hugely distinctive bumblebee design with black and bright yellow luminous hoops. The 1996 season was not a successful one for Celtic. Under Tommy Burns the club finsihed 2nd in the league behind Rangers. Memorable Celtic players from that season include Paulo Di Canio, Jorge Cadete, and Alan Stubbs
